State Rep. Craig Williams (R-Chadds Ford) and Mayor Matt Fetick, along with the Wellness Family Pharmacy, are hosting a 1,000 dose vaccine clinic for the Kennett Square community on Saturday, April 24 from noon to 4:30 p.m. at Kennett Area Senior High, 100 E. South St. in Kennett Square.

Williams said Friday that for several months it was difficult getting enough vaccine for Chester and Delaware residents and he was “one of the loudest voices to make sure we got more vaccine into our counties.” Delaware Valley officials have complained for months that their suburban communities have not gotten their fair share of vaccines. In early March, a bipartisan group of political leaders joined together to demand an increased supply. Since then, there’s been an uptick in shots reaching the four-county area.

Rep. Williams’ office partnered with the Wellness Family Pharmacy and provided administrative support as the vaccine supply became more readily available. He’s held several vaccine clinics with the pharmacy and this will be the second time the GOP rep has partnered with the mayor.

“We need to get everyone over to the other side of the pandemic safely,” said Williams. “We need to get entirely to the other side so we can restart our economy, get our schools operational gain and regain our footing.”

“I am happy to be working with my friend Mayor Fetick again,” Williams added. “This is our largest clinic yet and our second serving this community. I am inspired by the number of volunteers who have offered their time to make this clinic a success.  My staff and are working hard meet the needs of our constituents.”

Some 950 people have already scheduled appointments for the clinic.  To register go to:  https://tinyurl.com/4yzzy7s8
