Sen. Farry(R-Bucks) announced today that more than $400,000 of grants were awarded to fire and EMS companies in the 6th Senatorial District through the Fire Company and Emergency Medical Service Grant Program.

“Through legislation, I was instrumental in reauthorizing this grant program, as well as expanding it to better meet the needs of our local volunteer and career fire companies,” said Farry. “This state funding is much needed for both our volunteer and paid first responders and the communities they protect.”

The Fire Company and Emergency Medical Services Grant Program is an annual grant program available for volunteer and career fire companies, emergency medical services and rescue squads and is administered by the Office of State Fire Commissioner.

Eligible projects in accordance with the 2024-25 FCEMSGP Projects eligible for funding include construction or renovation of a fire or ambulance company facility, purchase or repair of equipment, training or reduction of existing debt.
