Firstrust Bank Celebrates Opening of Reimagined Corporate Headquarters

This week, Firstrust Bank re-opened its fully-renovated 70,000-square-foot corporate headquarters, marking a major investment for the enterprise’s workforce, future growth and the local economy.

Green, Executive Chairman of Firstrust Bank’s Board of Directors.
Firstrust leaders, board members, employees and Montgomery County and Whitemarsh Township officials gathered at the 15 E. Ridge Pike location to cut the ribbon on the new amenity-filled, sun-soaked office redesigned to encourage innovation and collaboration conducive to the new way of working. The space has been Firstrust’s corporate headquarters since 1997, after relocating from its previous headquarters since 1957 at the intersection of Cottman and Castor Avenues in North Philadelphia.
Pancoast & Clifford served as general contractor for the project, which was constructed throughout 2022, while D2 Groups LLC spearheaded the architecture and design of the thoughtfully redeveloped space.
The building’s five floors are outfitted with unique Firstrust touches that spotlight the people and culture that have been a driving force in the family-owned bank’s success. The cornerstone of the main floor is a wall of illustrated portraits depicting Firstrust’s longest tenured employees, specifically those who have been with the Bank for 25 years or more. In the same space, an entire wall is used to display photographs of employees and customers throughout the years at Firstrust, customer and volunteer events.
“People have always been at the core of our business, those whom we serve and those who make that service possible,” said Tim Abell, CEO and President of Firstrust Bank. “We invested in this space to create a place that employees can enjoy and be excited to work in, offering high-quality amenities, modern and bright interiors and the latest technology to attract, motivate and retain talent.”
The office, which has been designed and optimized to support a hybrid workforce, can accommodate more than half of the enterprise’s more than 500 employees. Employee workstations are positioned in an open architecture layout, each with a desk that can be used seated or while standing. Conference room spaces of various sizes with upgraded technology are available on each floor for improved collaboration with employees in the building alongside those working remotely from home or from other offices. A new training room has been added that can hold more than 200 participants for team meetings, learning sessions and more.
Employees also have access to a spacious Cafe featuring indoor and outdoor seating and food services, a fitness center, and private wellness rooms.
The comprehensive interior renovation includes not only all new finishes and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, but a brand-new exterior façade that allows more natural light to brighten the building and presents an eye-catching and appealing design to the intersection of Ridge and Butler Pikes.
