Males all over the country are competing in girls’ sports, and Democrats not only accept this, they applaud it. The party whose motto is, “We don’t want our daughters to have less rights than we did” is tearing girls’ right to safe spaces and sports away from them in the name of transgender rights.
The Biden administration changed Title IX recently. Title IX protects people from discrimination based on sex in education programs or activities that receive Federal financial assistance. The Democratic administration recently made a change to the law, adding that schools can’t discriminate against someone for their “gender identity” as opposed to their biological sex. That is absurd. This wording means if a male decides he is now a female he can compete against girls in sports and use girls’ locker rooms and their bathrooms. The new regulations take away all safeguards for girls.
In 2023, the Republican-led Central Bucks School Board created Policy 123.3, which defined the difference between sex and gender identity. It also prohibited males from joining girls’ teams when there was a designated male team in existence.
Unfortunately, the Democratic school board, chaired by Karen Smith, voted to get rid of that policy, leaving girls’ sports vulnerable. The board is expected to finalize the change at its November meeting. It took this action despite a U.S. Supreme Court ruling rejecting the Biden administration’s Title IX changes for states that oppose them, although that case only applied to some states, not Pennsylvania.
Republicans tried to warn voters during the last election this would happen. But unfortunately, most of our local mainstream media refused to highlight this issue and so many voters were unaware. If a male wants to play on a Central Bucks girls’ volleyball team they will be allowed to, and I bet our school board will applaud a girl losing a spot on the team in the name of “fairness.”
Another attack on women in Pennsylvania is House Bill 300 sponsored by state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta (D-Philadelphia) who is running for auditor general. It’s also known as the Fairness Act. This bill passed our Democratic-led state House in May 2023. Every Democratic representative in Bucks and Montgomery Counties voted yes. It once again protects “gender identity” meaning if a male decides he is girl he will be allowed to play on girls’ sports teams, use female locker rooms, and bathrooms. The bill has not passed the Pennsylvania Republican Senate. If it passes, girls will never be safe in Pennsylvania again.
Protecting girls’ rights is a top issue for the Trump administration this election. During a Georgia town hall, the former president was asked how he would protect women’s sports. He said he would ban males competing against females. It’s a very common sense answer.
Common sense is something that is missing in our current leadership. Remember to vote Nov. 5. Girls all over the country are counting on you!
