From a press release
This year we have much to be grateful for. However, many of our neighbors are finding themselves impacted by high inflation and cost increases. We are very fortunate to have local non-governmental organizations that collect food and essentials throughout Chester County.
In November the RCCC is partnered with two local non-governmental organizations to collect food in Chester County. One such NGO, It Takes A Village Community (Chester County), provides community food boxes throughout our county from Honey Brook and Modena to Downingtown and West Chester. It is a very easy and convenient way to donate.
Consider your generous donation of much-needed non-perishable food items and essentials at an NGO of your choice. Every item donated helps real families throughout Chester County and fulfills the spirit of helping your neighbor.
In this spirit, Thanksgiving has become a day when Americans extend a helping hand to the less fortunate. As former President Ronald Reagan said, “Long before there was a government welfare program, this spirit of voluntary giving was ingrained in the American character. Americans have always understood that, truly, one must give in order to receive. This should be a day of giving as well as a day of thanks.”
Members participated through their generous donations of much-needed non-perishable food items. Every item donated helps real families throughout Chester County and fulfills the spirit of voluntary giving President Reagan proclaimed so many years ago, but remains true today.
Together we all can help to change hearts and minds in Chester County, while making sure those in need are fed.
